Here are 3 quick ways to spot a false teacher. I will preface by saying that the teacher may be unlearned and therefore will have hope to repent and make adjustments before too late. On the other hand, if the teacher is willfully ignorant and knowingly deceiving the people, he will certainly suffer the utmost penalty, damnation. Let us get into it.

1. The Preacher/Teacher is utilizing the Old Testament practice of commanding a tithe. He will use Malachi as a backdrop and quote the scriptures out of context. He will abuse the people psychologically by stating that if they don’t tithe they are “robbing God.” He extorts money through them by using ‘guilt’ tactics. By twisting the scriptures and making money of great importance, he advances the deception. It’s easy to spot these false teachers as they blatantly twist the scriptures out of context. Also, money is constantly on their mind and they like to incorporate the “tithe” in the majority of their teachings/sermons. One who is skillful in the Word of God will easily discern their schemes. The Levitical priesthood has been done away with but many of these false teachers would have you to believe they are levitical priests. “Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.” (Galatians 5:4).

2. The Preacher/Teacher endorses adultery. This type of “minister” fails to understand the words of Jesus Christ: “Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.” (Luke 16:18). This “minister” nullifies the words of Jesus Christ and continues to allow adulterous relations at his “church.” There are many adulterers at this minister’s church. They use statements like, “You can remarry if you come to the Lord after your divorce” or “You can remarry if you find any reason that the relationship isn’t working.” These are just a couple of the common allowances for adultery. These are lies since Jesus Christ stated, “WHOSOEVER” which means ANYONE who puts away his wife and marries another commits adultery (sinner or saint.) This “minister” will have much blood on his hands and will enter damnation unless there is true repentance and henceforth a stance against the sin of adultery. “Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.” (1 Timothy 5:20).

3. The Pastor/Teacher doesn’t understand what baptism is. They will say things like, “Baptism is a profession of your faith” or “Baptism is an outward sign of an inward cleansing.” These statements are NOT biblical and have been created by false teachers who nullify the Word of God. The bible clearly states, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” (Colossians 3:17). These “ministers” have roots in the Roman Catholic church. Many of them do not know they are abiding under Roman Catholic doctrines and when you tell them they immediately say that they aren’t Catholics. However, they have been deceived. They fail to see that the doctrine of baptizing in titles stems from the Roman Catholic church (Catholic Encyclopedia Vol 2. p. 263). They therefore perpetuate a false doctrine. They are deceived and will utterly perish unless they awake to the Truth before it’s too late. They also give the seeker of baptism a very hard time or even reject them for desiring the be baptized into Jesus Christ. This therefore is a testimony against them on the day of judgment. They will be dealt with accordingly for failing to adhere to the Doctrines of Jesus Christ and for remaining stiff-necked. “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.” (1 Samuel 15:23).

Just saw one of your videos at a college campus (not sure which one), and I wanted to tell you that you were spot on. The answers you gave as well as your demeanor and tone where right on, better than any other street preacher I’ve heard, especially when it comes to doctrine. The fact that your not an OSAS follower is always a big plus. As for this article, there are several statements I agree with and disagree with, but I’m trying to stay away from controversy these days. After all I’m sure there’s not much I can tell you that you haven’t heard already. God bless and keep speaking truth, we can “be Holy as He is Holy”, God would not command us to do something He wouldn’t empower us to do.

I am glad you are encouraged by the video. Praise God for that. As for the article, it’s spot on. Many can’t see Biblical truths as of yet because of years of indoctrination by the denominations. Once you begin to forsake the idols (man teachers) and submit to the Spirit, if you have it, then God will lead you into all Truth and you can then praise God for this article teaching.

I have a question in regards to the Tithe. Is it OK for me not to Tithe since we are no longer under the Levitcal law?

    Gabriel · October 8, 2020 at 1:41 pm

Yes you certainly may tithe under the new covenant. However, there is no law for it and if you choose to do it with the mindset of obeying the levitical law, or of being cursed, then your money is being flushed down the toilet.

God knows the hearts and tries the hearts.
